Every so often, we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
At Moore and Co Events, our business is run by women, and centered around love. So, we put the spotlight on the incredible women in our lives, our employees, and female vendors (or “friendors” as we like to call them) with a Galentine’s Day styled shoot! After months of meticulous planning, our Galentine’s day styled shoot came to life, and it was every bit as spectacular as we had imagined. Continue reading to get the full scoop on our fabulous Galentine’s Day event!
The Details
For this Galentine’s Day styled shoot, we took a fun spin on the traditional Valentine’s Day palette. Sure, we still embraced the classic pinks and reds, but we wanted to add something extra to the mix. Our choice? A non-conventional accent – blue! From our glassware to placemats, from our signage to our navy couches, we interwove the blue accent thoughtfully throughout our design, creating a refreshing and memorable look.
The Florals
The florals that we can’t stop raving about! Steelcut Flower Co. took traditional Valentine’s Day red roses and gave them a modern update. They designed stunning arrangements with a luxury organic feel, using red roses in a surprising mix of calla lilies, carnations, and ranunculus. Our favorite floral piece was the free-form floral installation around the couch, which made the perfect conversation piece in our lounge area!
The Drinks
Talk about a wow! For drinks, we were in awe with the molecular mixology station by Molecular Food Cocktails! This exciting new interactive experience had only just entered the event industry and made its early debut at our shoot. The station was an unequivocal hit, perfectly blending fun and flavors in every drink.
Getting Ready
During the set up, we took turns getting ready. The outfits for the day were fun and playful and carefully curated, thanks to our talented stylist. They collaborated with local shops to source all the clothing and accessories, ensuring that every participant looked and felt their absolute best. Everyone loves pampering and feeling incredible, right? Of course, this transformation wouldn’t be complete without our hair and makeup team, who worked their magic to add that extra sparkle.
The Shoot
For this styled shoot, we took a step out of our usual routine and explored a somewhat uncharted territory. You see, as event stylists, we’re accustomed to being behind the scenes, attentively ensuring that everything is running perfectly. However, this time, the roles were reversed. We transformed from being silent observers to some of us becoming the subjects ourselves. Thankfully, we had Mary Neumann Photography to capture us, and the excitement of seeing our design come to life followed by a cocktail turned us into confident models!
This adventure gave us a deeper appreciation for models and all that is involved in orchestrating the perfect shot. It allowed us to stretch our creative muscles, and we’re very grateful for the experience. Let us know what you think!
