One of the best things about being Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum wedding planners is that we get to witness countless love stories, each one more captivating than the next. Courtney, an invaluable part of our team, got together with Beth and Cameron, an incredibly laid-back couple who love spending their time outdoors and being active, to plan the celebration of their dreams. As always, this was a day to be remembered, so naturally, we had to share it with you! Allow us to walk you through their heartwarming journey.

Their Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum Wedding Vision: Nature meets whimsy

Meeting The Couple

Our first order of business as Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum wedding planners is getting to know the couple from the ground up. When we first sat down with Beth and Cameron, they told us they were introverted, really relaxed, and had a huge passion for the great outdoors. But once we started talking about the details of their dream day, their bubbliness came to the forefront, and their introversion was nowhere to be found!

Their Wedding Decor Inspiration

Since they couldn’t wait to make their love official, they got married a year before their official wedding, but they still wanted to celebrate this joyous occasion with all of their closest ones. For their wedding, they envisioned floral motifs to take center stage due to their love for nature. Green and spring colors dominated the scene, but we also wanted to be bold, so we opted for a purple bar.

 Their Wedding

Even though Beth and Cameron tied the knot back home, they still wanted all of their closest ones to witness the crowning of their love. That said, Courtney planned a beautiful ceremony on the docks. This gave us the perfect view of Baltimore’s skyline, and the cloudy weather made the atmosphere even more dramatic. Before the ceremony, however, the couple had a private moment for themselves with a first look, and they were simply in awe of each other.

What makes us one of the best Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum wedding planners is that we always listen to our couples’ desires. Since both Beth and Cameron are head-over-heels for nature, we paid extra attention to the bride’s gorgeous bouquet and the floral aspects of their venue, the Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum. After the ceremony, we even repurposed the flowers and brought them inside the reception space!

Although the weather made us move the cocktail hour inside, that didn’t put a hurdle in our plans. Beth opted for an outfit change in a sparkly dress and the newlyweds entered their reception in style. Everyone was in their best mood given all the dance moves we saw and we simply had the time of our lives!

We were so ecstatic Beth and Cameron chose us as their Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum wedding planners, and it was such a joy to make their dream celebration come to life.
