Rosewood Farms is a gorgeous venue in Elkton, Maryland. The property includes two barn event spaces, a bridal suite, a groomsmen lounge, and many outdoor spaces that are ideal for a ceremony or photos. Rosewood does offer pricing information if you fill out a form on the website, which can be found here. They do require the use of an approved planner (and yes, we are on their list)! They also require the use of an approved caterer from their list — we think that they are all amazing options!

What do you think makes Rosewood Farms stand out from others?
“Rosewood Farms is truly such a unique space to have the wedding of your dreams. From the beginning of the day where the couples get ready in the Suite and the Lounge to the whitewashed ceremony barn, down to the Rustic cocktail hour and then ending the night in the dreamy Rose Barn, our couples get it all! Any and all design elements, florals and colors that are brought in blend so nicely in our spaces that it’s hard not to fall in love. There is so much flexibility and creative freedom to make the wedding you’ve been envisioning into a reality here.”

Where did the name “Rosewood Farms” come from?
“Rosewood Farms was a name that came about from a brainstorming session with all of our Rosewood Family. The property was originally a farm, dating back to as early as the 1800s and ‘Rose’ is a family name that also represents the beauty and delicacy at the venue. And thus, Rosewood Farms was born!”

What are some of the common questions that you get asked by engaged couples?
“We often get asked by our couples where to start with vendors. We understand how overwhelming trying to navigate the vendor selection is at times, so we compiled a list of our recommended vendors to make it easier for our couples to narrow it down. Our vendor list is comprised of vendors who have been to Rosewood Farms before and we believe have provided a premiere experience for our couples and all their guests.
Another common question we get is where do you typically see out of town guests stay? We are really close to Newark, Delaware which is a great area for our guests to stay. This is where Main Street is alongside the University of Delaware. You will find a bustling town full of restaurants, nightlife and plenty of hotel options. We often see rehearsal dinners, post-wedding brunches, and even after parties here down Main Street when the event concludes here at Rosewood.”
What is the number one mistake that couples make when looking for a wedding venue?
“One of the biggest mistakes is being firm with a date before touring venues that you are interested in. The more flexible you are with your date, the better! Once you fall in love with a venue, the date will fall in line. Another mistake is not hiring a wedding planner (such as Moore & Co.!!) soon enough. There’s a lot to think about when choosing a venue and planners are able to help couples navigate those questions and concerns well!”
Our Thoughts
Overall, Rosewood Farms is one of our favorite venues to work at. The team is absolutely amazing to work with and all of their spaces are absolutely stunning. We highly recommend taking a tour to see if it is right for your special day!
